Death is the Start Chapter 18

Three days have passed since Sarah and Melissa returned from Starpoint and since then Melissa hasn’t left the morgue. She didn’t eat she didn’t sleep she just wasted away staring at her brother’s body on that table hoping for any sign that he was alive. She didn’t care how impossible it was she wanted to believe that he’d wake up. As time passed she became weaker and weaker but no matter what she wouldn’t leave. Unfortunately, the fatigue and hunger became too much to bear and rather slowly she started to fall out of the chair. Her face was inches away from the ground but it never reached thanks to a hand clutching her by the shirt. “H-he’s not gon-n-na wa-ake up.” Elsewhere Sarah laid awake in her bed she couldn’t fall asleep no matter how hard she tried; her mind was restless with thoughts of everything that happened at Starpoint. Sarah looked at her clock and saw it was almost 2 in the morning. Sarah gave up and got out of bed hoping a walk might clear her head. She

The Munk's Master.

In the quirky world of Alvin and the Chipmunks, there's never a dull moment, especially when Alvin is involved. This time, Alvin's curiosity gets the better of him as he fiddles with one of Simon's latest gadgets, a device so complex it could make a Swiss watch look like a child's toy. As expected, chaos ensues, and the invention, which was supposed to be a simple automatic snack dispenser, turns into a snack-attacking monster, chasing Alvin around with an endless barrage of peanuts and pretzels. Just when Alvin thinks he's about to become the world's first chipmunk astronaut, propelled by snack propulsion, Simon swoops in, pressing the off button with the precision of a bomb defuser. Grateful yet undeterred by the near-snack experience, Alvin pledges himself as Simon's personal assistant, attending to his every whim and fancy. Simon, who prefers his world orderly and predictable, finds Alvin's constant presence more overwhelming than his complex equations. In a stroke of genius, or

Empty Whiskey Bottles

He found me rocking back and forth in our bedroom closet, silent tears soaking my jeans. My heart was breaking. The man I loved, and who was supposed to love me, was manipulating my world to serve his selfish desires. I was being shoved aside as I began to fight against his words and actions; questioning the purpose he felt he was fulfilling. The ring I wore had lost its luster a long time ago, but I had only just noticed its darkness. A twenty year old had crept between us, having “stolen his heart”. I needed to let go; to move forward with my life. He represented all the pain in my life as he milked my innocence and young naivety. Someone else had taken my place as I grew into an independent young woman; the high school girl craving attention had grown up beyond his reach. “Shara...” he whispered, emotionless. I chose to ignore his presence, for now and as long as I could muster. Resentment rumbled from the depths and reared its head at the man who was my husband on paper, if you

Your Wish is My Command.

(Verse 1) Every moment without you feels like time is standing still, But when you're near, the world moves in ways that bend to your will. Your smile, a beacon in the night, guiding me through, Every wish you whisper, I'm ready to pursue. (Chorus) Your wish is my command, my heart's in your hand, With every beat, it echoes your name, so grand. In the magic of your eyes, I understand, That your wish, your wish is my command. (Verse 2) Through the highs and lows, in the light and in the shadows, I'll be the one to follow, wherever your wind blows. In the silence and the sound, when you're lost or when you're found, I'll be the promise that never lets you down. (Bridge) And if the stars align, in your eyes they'll shine, Reflecting dreams of you and I, entwined. With a love so true, there's nothing we can't do, I'll make the universe conspire for you. (Chorus) Your wish is my command, my heart's in your hand, With every beat, it echoes your name, so grand. In the magic of your eyes

Canada

(Verse 1) From icy tundras vast and wide, to coasts where oceans softly sigh, A land of mountains, forests prime, beneath a boundless sky. A tapestry of cultures weave, a vibrant land to roam, Where maple leaves in colours bright proclaim their autumn home. (Chorus) Oh, Canada, oh, Canada, with spirit bold and free, A land of hope, a land of love, for all who yearn to be. From prairies where the wind whispers, to cities bold and strong, A nation built on kindness, where voices all belong. (Verse 2) Through rugged winters, hearts endure, as snowflakes gently fall, And hockey sticks on frozen ponds, echo freedom's call. With summer sun, the lakes awake, canoes glide on the blue, While vibrant flowers paint the fields, in hues of red and true. (Chorus) Oh, Canada, oh, Canada, with spirit bold and free, A land of hope, a land of love, for all who yearn to be. From mountains where the eagles soar, to shores where whales might breach, A nation rich in diversity, where

Vanguard: Pilot Episode

EXT. ALIEN PLANET - FOREST - NIGHT A group of humanoid aliens are silently marching. They have purplish grey skin and antenna's. They are nervously wandering through a forest. They shiver when they hear noises. Suddenly a burning slashing sound is heard, they look in horror to see a tree falling down, a cauterized stump where it once stood. The assailant was a demon wearing black spiky armor wielding a glowing red sword with blood red eyes. Various creatures and monsters loom behind him. He points his sword commanding them to attack. The aliens run for their lives as the monsters chase them, they panic and run to a cliff where they see massive black ships blasting the burning cities. The aliens were huddling at the edge of the cliff. A little

Historical Figures of Mewni: Fionnuala Seabreeze

Author's Note: Hi everyone! Apologies, but Jupus' artwork is being slightly delayed. So, in the meantime, I thought I'd create another historical figure of Mewni biography for you all. As I posted earlier in the week, this biography is based on the Irish folksong 'Bean Pháidín,' which essentially translates to 'the wife of Pháidín.' However, this version has much less jealousy and wishing for your love rival's bones to be broken. This biography will also expand on the origins of the Fae species in Mewni. (Side note: despite how it might read, no, there is no time travel, haha!) Anyways, enjoy! Fionnuala, the Translator In courtly scrolls, her pen traced, Translating tales of the Fae's embrace. Yet in love's dance, she found a different space, A heart's journey, in a serendipitous chase. Much of Fionnuala’s early life is only known thanks to the autobiographies she published in her lifetime. She was born on the 22nd of Qork (24th of June) 988BM to Finley Seabreeze, a

A strange cloud rose out of the earth. It blocked the sunlight and whispered to the dark. Great stone columns seemed to emerge from the parking lot to hold the cloud high in the sky. Her eyes searched the ghostly vehicles for any clue of another living soul. They stood within the waters silently. Why wasn't anyone else here? Surely she could not be the only one in the town...she had heard voices. They seemed hurried, like something important was happening. She should know what they were talking about, shouldn't she? Her mind tried to grasp onto their conversation, but it would not, or could not, grasp onto the words. They were all around h

In a Heartbeat...

Thump, Thump! Thump, Thump! That was all I could hear echoing through my aching eardrums as I stared up at the speckled night sky. I could feel the vibrations throughout my frame. It was cold, bitter cold. The frigid night air of eastern Maine in early winter stung my lungs as if a hive of bees were residing within. If I listened closely, ignoring the thumps, then I could hear the sound of waves crashing against the rocky beachhead. Large clashes of water and rock. Sea and land battling each other for all of eternity. Land fighting the losing battle, denying the inevitable, refusing to give in despite its unalterable fate. I could hear the
