In a Heartbeat...
Thump, Thump! Thump, Thump! That was all I could hear echoing through my aching eardrums as I stared up at the speckled night sky. I could feel the vibrations throughout my frame. It was cold, bitter cold. The frigid night air of eastern Maine in early winter stung my lungs as if a hive of bees were residing within. If I listened closely, ignoring the thumps, then I could hear the sound of waves crashing against the rocky beachhead. Large clashes of water and rock. Sea and land battling each other for all of eternity. Land fighting the losing battle, denying the inevitable, refusing to give in despite its unalterable fate.
I could hear the
Crawling, Crawling Up my skin
Bugs upon Bugs, packed into my pores and eyes
Waiting until I sleep so they can eat me
Silence, Silence Bouncing off the walls
Stillness within Stillness, echoing in my mind
Promising to drown me in nothingness
Grainy, Grainy Littering the floor
Sand around Sand, laying about my feet
Threatening to give
Faith unites us to worship the Almighty.
Yet faiths divide us in definition of God's identity.
Faith guides us to do what is right.
Again faiths direct us to war and fight.
Faith establishes; everyone is equal.
Yet faiths specify definition of infidel.
Faith teach us to conquer our fear,
Again faiths instruct us to remember God with fear.
Faith encourage us to love each and everyone,
Yet faiths instruct us every battle have to be won.
With the power of our faith let us unite,
Let us keep differences of definitions aside.
Let faith lead us to the path which is right,
Let us fight for what is right with all out might.
Let us have
I love to ride in the rain,
On my bicycle with greasy chain,
It's a feeling I cannot explain,
Ride on my bike in the rain.
Though the rain floods the street,
The muddy roads are not very neat.
Again, there is the wind to defeat,
It can also cram my feet.
Yet the rain is quite a treat,
It is better than the scorching heat.
The rain cools me down,
Though, I may look like a clown,
It doesn't bring me down,
Cause I love to be the rain soaked clown.
It is like a toiling break,
Often makes me shiver and shake,
Sometimes my health is at stake,
Yet I love to take this break.
I ride on my bike in the rain,
You may think, I am insan
